Martha Rapp joined the staff on January 25, 2006.  From October 2005 she was pastoral intern here at the Church of St. Peter.

    Martha received a bachelor of science degree in communications from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign; is accredited in public relations by the Public Relations Society of America; and holds certificates in Parish Life Ministry and Liturgical Ministry through the Diocese of Springfield in Illinois’ Lay Ministry Formation Program.  She is completing a master’s degree in theology.

    Before joining St. Peter’s, Martha worked as a newspaper reporter and editor, held various public relations jobs, and spent 20 years managing marketing & communications at Harris Corporation’s Broadcast Communications Division.

    She is married to Jim, and attorney and writer. They have three married daughters and two grandchildren.

   Martha's favorite food is anything chocolate.  Her hobbies include piano, cooking, reading theology, and taking very long walks or hikes.
