It’s hard to believe that May is here and this is our last month of school.  We have some special activities planned for May that you may want to note on your calendar.  We would also like to let you know that all of your help and support this year has been greatly appreciated!!!!  Your children are very special.

 

 

Curriculum for the Month

 

We have completed our study of the alphabet.  We will concentrate on reading books and journaling.

We will continue our unit on animals.  We will continue to work on addition, subtraction, time, fractions and measurement.  Please continue to practice the SIGHT WORDS that were sent home!

May Reading Chart

 

May Reading Chart is attached.  Please continue to read to your child!!  The chart is due Friday, May 16th!

Special Dates

 

May 14th, Wed- READ DAY –

Reading is Grrreat! in 2008

    On Wednesday, May 14th we will have our literacy day at St. Anthony School.  We will arrive at 9:00 and leave at 2:00.  Lunch is provided.  The children will receive at special T-shirt to be worn that day.

 

May 6, 7, 8th Tue- Thurs- S.R.A. Testing

    We will be giving the kindergartners a standardized test.  This test is another way to help evaluate your child’s progress and skills.  You will receive a copy of the test results at the end of the year!

 

May 20th, Tues- School Picnic & last day of school
