Computer Classes

 

 

Welcome to the computer lab! 

 

Each week, students are involved in a variety of projects and tasks that are planned with classroom teachers.  Many students are learning to touch-type, others are creating a brochure on a science or social studies topic, while some students are learning how to use the Internet for research.  Each week is different!

 

            

 

 

Here are some examples of what we will be doing in the computer lab:

 

1st Grade

Practice reading and phonics with instructional software

2nd Grade

Work on tens and ones place value using instructional software

3rd Grade

Introduction to touch typing

 

4th Grade

Practice solving math word problems and logical thinking skills with instructional software

5th Grade

Using the Internet to discover Native American cultures

6th Grade

Learning how to use Microsoft Excel (Spreadsheets)

7th Grade

Researching travel options on the Internet using a WebQuest

8th Grade

Genetic disorder research

Kindergarten

Number and letter recognition along with patterning with instructional software.
