6th Grade
Teacher
Mrs.
Wickman is in her fourth year at St. Peter School. Previously she
taught at
St. Mary School for 17 years.
During her years at St. Mary’s she
had an eighth grade homeroom and taught language arts to 6th, 7th & 8th grades.
She began her teaching in Springfield, IL. in first grade, two years in Riverton,
IL teaching art and 1 year at Baldwin South.
She
attended grade school in Motley Elementary in Motley, Minnesota. Following
that she attended high school at Motley High in Motley, MN. She received a
B.S. degree in
Elementary Education from
Mankato State College in Minnesota.
She continued her education
by receiving her Masters Degree in Reading from
Western Illinois University in Macomb.
Mrs.
Wickman has four children: Kathy Nelson, a social worker within Chaddock’s
Family
Center; Cyndi Wickman, who lives in Springfield, MO, and is attending
school for a degree
in horticulture; Dave Wickman, who lives in Quincy
and works for Frese Landscaping; and Brian
Wickman, who lives in Chicago and and works for Deutsche Bank. She also has
granddaughters; Sarah, 6, Nelson 3,
Elizabeth, 2 who live in Quincy and twins, Theophano
and Louka Wickman, who live in Chicago.
Mrs.
Wickman’s favorite color is blue. She enjoys reading in
her spare time.
