                    First Grade Teacher

    Mrs. Wort is in her 14^th year of teaching First Grade at St. Peter School.  She grew up on a farm near Mt. Sterling and graduated from Brown County High School. She attended Western Illinois University in Macomb and attained a B.S. degree in Vocational Home Economics. Later, she completed the requirements to become certified in elementary education. She also taught for seven years at Lollipop Plus Preschool.
        Mrs. Wort has been married for twenty-nine years to Jerry, who is employed at ADM-Alliance Nutrition. They have two children. Eric graduated from the University of IL at Champaign and is employed at Wolfram Research (a mathematics software company) in Champaign.  Kara graduated from the University of IL at Springfield and is employed by Credit Union One as a legal assistant in Lombard, IL.
    Mrs. Wort has a black cocker spaniel named Coco. Her favorite color is blue. She dabbles in gardening and likes to read, bake, and travel.
