Third Grade
Mrs. Dittmer began her fourth year of teaching at St. Peter School this school
year. She began her career at St. Francis where she taught third grade for two
years. She taught 16 years at St. Dominic School. Two of those years she
taught fifth grade and the remaining 14 years third grade.
Mrs. Dittmer attended Longfellow Elementary School in Gary, Indiana and
Andrean High School, a Catholic school in Indiana. She received a B.S. and
M.S. in Elementary Education from Quincy University.
Mrs. Dittmer is married to Bob, who is retired from Quincy Public Schools.
He presently teaches math and Quincy University.
Mrs. Dittmer has three children: Julie, Scott and Ryan Hutmacher. they all
live and work in Chicago. All of her children graduated from Quincy Notre Dame
and Illinois State University.
Mrs. Dittmer loves animals and has two cats, Lenny and Tailer and a dog,
Bailey. Her favorite color is blue. She loves Mexican food. Her hobbies include
reading, drawing/painting, stained glass, and making jewelry.
